Dale reports one each Greater Yellowlegs and Lesser Yellowlegs foraging
together (making ID easier!) today on Hillsboro pond in Coffee County.
He was by the same pond on Tuesday, with a total count of about 175 ducks.
Today there were fewer total, ~100, with more Blue-winged Teal and less
Mallards making up the mix, along with N. Shovelers (~36), Green-winged Teal,
Bufflehead, Gadwall, 1 Ruddy Duck, and a pair of Ring-necked Ducks rounding out
the rest.
Also in a duck box on Woods Reservoir, Dale had an E. Screech Owl peering out,
looking ready to fledge any day. It seems spring has sprung!
