Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh Davidson Co. Nashville, TN 2010 June 11 7:25 am I stopped on my way to work at the small marsh on Walter S. Davis Blvd along the back side of Tenn. State Univ. I was hoping I might find a rail out and about. I've never seen one there, but as little as it is birded, who knows what might be there. Instead as I scanned the reeds I spied an adult YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT HERON with head plumes searching for breakfast. Perhaps this is one of the birds from nearby Sylvan Park that Michael Bierly reported on several months ago.
