I received the following email through the TOS website. Because White Pelicans are uncommon in middle Tennessee, I'm passing it on to the listserve. Oak Lake is on the south side of Spring Hill, so I presume the record is from Maury County. Chuck Nicholson Norris, TN -----Original Message----- From: Adam Petree ] Sent: Saturday, April 03, 2010 8:56 PM To: info@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Pelicans We just watched a flock of 9 white pelicans fly around Oak Lake in Spring Hill, Tennessee. They flew in a large figure-8 for about 20 minutes before flying away. We spotted them initially around 7:15pm. It seemed very unusual as far as we are away from the ocean. Thanks.
