[TN-Bird] White Pelicans

300+ white pelicans on White Oak Bay, Kentucky Lake this morning. The first
birds arrived a couple of weeks ago and numbers have been increasing since
then. They are a quiet bird. I never hear them like I hear the ducks, herons,
egrets, and grebes as they spend the day fishing, napping and hanging out.
Towards dusk they depart for some unknown roosting area in their beautifully
synchronized "drill team" flight formations.
