Good afternoon birders... Steve and I bundled up and headed down to the Clarksville Marina to check things out. Present were what we now refer to as the "usual" crew: 1 Bufflehead, 1 Hooded Merganser, 6 Lesser Scaup, 1 Redhead Duck, 23 Ring-billed Gulls and the White-winged Scoter. Also flying over the water were 4 Black Vultures and 1 Turkey Vulture. From there we ran by Dunbar Cave Lake. Present, as they have been for about 6 weeks now, were 9 Redhead Ducks, 1 Ring-necked Duck, 2 Canvasbacks, 1 Ruddy Duck and 15 Mallards. Noticeably absent were the Canada Geese...although I'm sure they'll come in nearer to dusk as has been their habit of late. Hope that where ever you are and whatever you're doing today you're staying warm and dry. As always, Happy birding!
