[TN-Bird] Waterbird survey Hamilton co. TN

I did a waterbird survey on the Tennessee River from the Boathouse
Restaurant on Amnicola Highway to Vincent Road landing in Hamilton
County on Monday November 27.  There were signs of a few migrants on the
river but the real push should be after this next cold front.
Highlights included:
37 Common Loon

28 Horned Grebe

4 Gadwall

2 Lesser Scaup

1 hen Ruddy Duck

54 Bufflehead

7 Common Goldeneye

55 Ring-billed Gull

2 immature Herring Gull

 

 

1 adult Bald Eagle above Chickamauga dam

 

3 Virginia Rails calling at the Standifer Gap Marsh
