There has been a major influx of waterfowl and and other water birds at
Reelfoot Lake with the recent cold front. I added several species as count week
birds that we missed on the CBC on Saturday. Here's my eBird checklist:

neck, and dark gray overall plumage.
Long-tailed Duck 1 Adult female in winter plumage, seen in flight. White
belly with completely dark back and wings, brown breast, white head/face with
dark brown patch on upper neck.

Common Merganser 1 Female seen with Red-breasted Mergs. This bird was
slightly larger with a more rounded head that lacked the shaggy crest. Head
color was darker brown and Bill was a brighter orange color. This bird also had
a clean white throat that contrasted with the brown head and gray body plumage.
