I was at Percy Warner park in Nashville Friday morning
more or less giving my fiance a tour and not actually
birding and we stopped at a high spot with a view of
downtown Nashville where I found one singing Cerulean
Warbler. This was apparently a good spot for
Ceruleans in the past (as per conversation with a
bunch of folks), however they hadn't been seen in
several years (as per conversation with Sandy Bivens
of Warner Park). I saw the bird moving around a lot
at the top of the trees, but never got a good look.
Then he sang and sang for about 5 min or so. We
didn't find any Ceruleans at that spot on 16 May when
I had a group there, but at least one is around.
Cheers,
Scott Somershoe
