Walter S. Davis Blvd marsh Nashville, Davidson Co., TN 2012 April 26 4:15 pm Stopped at the Walter S. Davis Blvd. marsh on my way home from work to see if there were additional shorebirds compared to this morning. I found 31 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERs and a PECTORAL SANDPIPER, as well as this morning's GREATER and LESSER YELLOWLEGs, and many SOLITARY SANDPIPERs. The area of mud has increased the past couple of days, and if the storms miss that area, it should be of increasing interest to shorebirds. I'm headed out of state this weekend to visit family in New Jersey so hope to bird Cape May while I'm there, missing the action here.
