Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh Davidson Co. Nashville, TN 2012 April 3 7:20-7:40am I stopped by the Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh on my way to work at TSU this morning. The water in the marsh and its small lake has evaporated to the point where there is now some mud that shows in the shallow areas and shorebirds were taking advantage of it. Working the mud I found 4 KILLDEER, 6 WILSON'S SNIPE and 4 SOLITARY SANDPIPERs. However, the most surprising bird of the morning was a first year male COMMON GOLDENEYE swimming near 8 BLUE-WINGED TEAL. This is the first time I've seen a goldeneye at this marsh.
