The overnight rains finally filled up the "lake" at the Walter S.
Davis Blvd Marsh, which had not had water in it for several months.
Taking advantage of the habitat were my first NORTHERN SHOVELERs of
the season.  At one point I trained my binoculers on the wake of what
I thought might be a small duck and instead found a beaver. As I was
about to depart, I spied a single WILSON'S SNIPE who had the same idea
and left for the Cumberland River.

Ducks included:
Mallard  16
N. Shoveler 7
Green-winged Teal 1, swimming with the shovelers.
