Correction - I viewed the 2 trumpeter swans on Cox's Lake (from west-bounds I-840) from 10:45 to 11:30 am today, July 9 (rather than 11:45 - 11:30 am). They were still feeding leisurely on submerged vegetation in the lake as my wife and I left. One was at first on the SE bank about 200 feet from I-840, with the other nearby in the lake. They then swam together into the middle of the lake, where they were partially obscured by trees from our I-840 vantage point. Please use extreme caution when parking to see the birds on 840. To view the birds on Cox Rd. take exit 42 on 840 for Horton Hwy south to a right (west) on Patton Rd. to a right (north) where Patton Rd. ends at Cox Rd. (no sign there, however), past 840. The lake will soon be on your left. The only parking on Cox Rd. is at roads/driveways to gated pastureland and for that reason only a very brief stop should be entertained. Nice TN bird for me just after my long trip north. Thanks for all who helped in located the birds. Kevin Breault Brentwood
