Hi folks, Well it appears that Tremont's MAPS station is starting a new tradition I'd rather not continue. We did not have a SINGLE bird in our nets on Friday. The same happened on the last day of banding last year. We ended the season with these totals: 12 species in nets 49 banded birds 6 no-bands 18 recaps 73 total birds, of which 34 were Louisiana Waterthrushes 5 teenagers removed almost 50 of the birds. Anyyone is welcome to stop by and see our station, whether it's in operation or not. Though an email ahead of time will make it more likely that I am around to show you. We're located in the northwest corner of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, about 2.5 miles from the Townsend, TN entrance, and we're within Blount County.
