Hi Folks,

I hope many of you will attend the TOS winter meeting January 27 and
28 in Manchester. I hear that a lot of good work has gone into
planning a great time. I can't wait to thank those folks personally
for helping out all of TOS.

You may be interested to know that the Tennessee Partners In Flight
Monitoring Committee meeting will be Friday the 27th - the day before
TOS meeting. It will take place from 9 to 5 central time in the
meeting room at the Ambassador Inn

This is an important meeting as it deals with the future direction of
avian monitoring in the state. The meeting is open to those with an
immediate stake in avian monitoring or an interest in helping to
focus that direction. The meeting will be centered on the details of
the CBM plan including:

Direction of the plan
Individual sections of the plan
Necessary revisions and additions
Schedule for future updates
Website for the plan
Partnerships
Monitoring Sites
Need for a CBM coordinator
Combining CMB with IBA and other programs
Additional needs
Future meetings

Other items concerning avian monitoring may be discussed if time
allows.

Visit http://www.tnbirds.org/Winter06-meeting.htm for more
information on the TOS meeting.

A block of rooms are being held for TOS participants, and these rooms
will also be available for Thursday night, January 26. Participants
may obtain the same special rate by mentioning TOS and/or Partners in
Flight.

Please let me know if you plan to attend the PIF meeting.

Charlie
