Tn-birders, Dollyann and I made run for the Swallow-tailed Kites being seen lately along highway 107 in Washington County. We arrived about noon and didn't see anything right away. We ran into another birder and he said they had been seen Sunday. We drove north up route 107 a bit and looked around Jackson Bridge Road but didn't have any luck. When we went back towards the Enon Baptist Church, we passed the other birder and he said he had just seen one. We pulled into the church parking lot and saw one of the kites hawking insects over the church parking lot. This church parking lot is very near where Clarks Creek Road hits highway 107, both just north of the Eli Master Road intersection with 107. Awesome bird!!! On the way back home we stopped in at Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery in Anderson Co. There we had a few waders, listed below. Stilt Sandpiper - 1 Least Sandpiper - 3 Lesser Yellowlegs - 1 Pectoral Sandpiper - 1 Killdeer - 75 Great birding, Ron Hoff and Dollyann Myers Clinton, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
