Today, April 22, I saw one Lesser Yellowlegs and a Least Sandpiper at the edge
of a pond on Cages Bend Road, one mile south of Gallatin Road, halfway between
Gallatin and Hendersonville, in Sumner county. If not for riding the bike, I
wouldn't have seen them.

Later at Drakes Creek Park, where Gallatin Road crosses Drakes Creek on Old
Hickory Lake in Hendersonville, Sumner county, I found at least 6 Spotted
Sandpipers in the shallow cove past the soccer field along the edge of the
lake. Eight Blue-Winged Teal were also in the cove, but all but two flew away.
Following the trail to the other side of this small cove, I saw 3 and heard
more Palm Warblers, and heard one Common Yellowthroat. A Gray Catbird was
sighted along the creek.

At home in Hendersonville, I saw my first Indigo Bunting of the year at our
feeder. I also had a flyby of a Hummingbird, likely Ruby-Throated.
