[TN-Bird] Spring Meeting-Lodging

Dear TN-Birders:
We have information regarding lodging for the Spring State Meeting here =
in
Chattanooga. While there are many motel options in this area, we are
recommending the EconoLodge in Tiftonia, TN. The Tiftonia area is =
convenient
to many of the field trips as well as the riverboat. The EconoLodge was
selected because they have very nice facilities, and are giving us a =
block
of 25 rooms for $58.00/night + tax. The owners also said they would be
willing to provide continental breakfast at 5:00 am to accommodate our =
early
activities (they normally don't serve until 6:00 am). To make =
reservations,
call 423-821-9000 and mention that you are with TOS. They will be =
holding
these rooms until MARCH 30th, so make sure you reserve before then. The
motel is located at the intersection of Interstate 24 and Browns Ferry =
Rd.
Other motels in the Tiftonia area include Sleep Inn ($65.00/night), =
Comfort
Inn ($89.00/night), Hampton Inn ($72.00/night), Best Western =
($60.00/night),
and Ramada Limited ($42.00/night, but not the nicest accommodations).
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you about the =
deadline
for the riverboat banquet. Your reservation form and payment must be
received by April 9th, so don't put it off too long!
Everything is coming together, and it looks like a good time will be had =
by
all!
