This evening, we stopped at Barkley Creek Park in Jonesborough (Washington
County) in search of the Snow Goose seen yesterday by Nicholas Lorch. We
were treated to good looks of this lifebird, which stayed on the right hand
side of the creek near the far bridge. Feeding with him were several Canada
Geese, one of which was banded (1068-7707). Although the lighting was not
great, we were able to get some identifiable photos some of which are

linked below. We also saw two Belted Kingfishers, Red-winged Blackbirds,
and some of the more common species.
