Sightings Report, 3 Dec '06, Collierville area, Shelby County, TN
 

Location: Frank Rd Landfill Greenbelt Park

Observation date:     12/3/06, 2:00-4:15pm

Notes:      Cold and windy. Usual hedgerow/grassy/tall weed spots for LBJ's.
Fox sparrow seen in the mixed pines/hardwoods on northshore of beaver pond.

Location: Nonconah Greenbelt Trail

Observation date:     12/3/06, 4:30-4:55pm

Notes:      First time visit with a quick walk prior to sundown on the new
Greenbelt trail lots of LBJ's around the beginning of the trailhead at
Schilling Middle School. Need to investigate this trail in more detail.
Trail follows (says the map) the Nonconnah Creek, crosses several tribs, in
and out of woods, development to north of trail. Looks promising. Has small
outdoor classroom area (benches and platform). Cold and windy.
