Day late, but still a report. Spring Migration is great this year. Mixed with 
all the water here in the flooded fields. The last three days have been 
unbelievable.

Comments:     Had to run the pits for a third day in a row during spring 
migration.

Black-bellied Whistling-Duck  43     Counted 39 with a 200 ft diameter area 
where they were taking in rest on a warm sunny afternoon. The rest located in 
flooded timber area nearby.

Mallard  10
Blue-winged Teal  12     Most likely more but wasn't paying them much mind.
Northern Bobwhite  9     Everyday hearing and seeing more and more of them. 
Another one today tried to make itself a hood ornament on the van when it 
flushed right in front of me.

Sora  6     Wasn't looking as hard as yesterday and did not travel the one 
flooded area due to number of ducks I would have disturbed.

Black-necked Stilt  21     Paired up or feeding some nesting.
Spotted Sandpiper  7     Nice to see these guys mixed in with the other 
shorebirds bobbing there butts up and down.

Semipalmated Sandpiper  100     100+ birds scattered through out the 
cells/lagoons.

Stilt Sandpiper  19     Still around from the weekend counts
Short-billed Dowitcher  14     Still around from the weekend, feeding, bathing, 
looking good.

Chimney Swift  2
Eastern Kingbird  6     More and more popping up and feeding above the high 
grass.
Barn Swallow  20     20+ flying over the newly mowed fields while the tractor 
is still running.
Dickcissel  25     25+ singing everywhere
Red-winged Blackbird  35     35+ All over the place.
Eastern Meadowlark  1
Common Grackle  3
Brown-headed Cowbird  10
