Quick Update-
Wartrace TN- Bedford Co
Roy saw a shrike in the same spot for two weeks when traveling to Shelbyville
on Anthony Rd near Fairfield Pike (March 6th & March 16th.) We also had a
shrike on the guy wire next to our soccer field at Cascade High School on
Friday afternoon.
Also spied a No Harrier on Fairfield Pike approx 1 mile from Cascade School
(the bad curve area) on March 16th. Our first Purple Martin was at Chase
Hatchett's martin box on Fairfield Pike (across from Cascade Elem school) on
that same Thursday afternoon (March 16th).
We had a Barred Owl concert close by in our woods last night around 6:30...had
at least four cackling and doing their usual "get together" party calls.

Today, 2 male bluebirds were fighting over the female & nesting box in the
garden...one nearly pecked the other's eye out & had it on the ground. So much
for the "Bluebird of Happiness" phrase!
