This morning I birded Shelby Bottoms in Nashville and found my first flock of warblers for the season. Seen on the paved trail along the river were: Blue-winged Warbler - 2 Yellow Warbler - 3 Kentucky Warbler - 1 Common Yellowthroat - 7+ Also in the area were Orchard Oriole, Blue Grosbeak, and 3 Sedge Wrens near the shorebird observation platform. 2 more Blue-winged Warblers were seen on Mission Hill in Shelby Park. As fellow Nashville birder Frank Fekel would say, "outstanding!"
