My mother and I visited Sharp's Ridge this morning from 8:30-10:30. We saw 4 other birders and had a few FOS migrants. Also, my mother put her hummingbird feeder out here in north Knoxville on 4/9 and noticed a hummer yesterday evening, 4/11. Here are some of the birds seen on the ridge. Black and White Warbler - 1 seen, couple more heard Yellow-Rumped Warbler - 4 Blue-Headed Vireo - 1 Red-Eyed Vireo - 2 (FOS) White-Eyed Vireo - 1 (FOS) Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher - 1 (FOS) Indigo Bunting - 2 (FOS) Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker - 1 Brown Thrasher - 1 Double-Crested Cormorant - 4 (flyover) Cooper's Hawk - 1 Turkey Vulture - 1 Shane Williams - Knoxville,TN _____________________________________________________________ Netscape.
