Seven Islands W.R. (Knox Co.) - Wed., 10/17, 12 - 3pm:

Black-throated green warbler - 1
Palm warbler - 1
Tennessee warbler - 1
Yellow-rumped warbler - 2
unIDed warbler - 1 (only saw yellow breast w/ streaks - Magnolia or Cape May
probably)

Ruby-crowned kinglet - 5
Yellow-bellied sapsucker - 2-3
Swamp sparrow - 2 (f.o.s.)
White-throated sparrow - 1 (f.o.s.)

Had a beautiful gray fox within 30 ft of me near the NE corner of the refuge(up
the hill from the parking area). It was in a patch of cedar trees beside a
newly cleared path. I sat down to see if it would come closer but once it saw
me it stared at me from the base of a tree until I moved on. I also noted
around 8-10 Mourning Cloak butterflies today all flying WSW. Just 1 Monarch.
