Birders,
     Today (5/14) I spent about two (2) hours birding a U.S. Forest
Service Road off of McQueen Knob Road, Holston Mountain, Shady
Valley, Tennessee and had the great privilege to observe a beautiful
male *Scarlet Tanager, Black-and-white Warbler and Red-eyed Vereo.
I also heard over two (2) Black-throated Green Warblers.
*Fairly common summer resident. Other animal species were,
Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) and Slimy Salamander (Plethodon
glutinosus).
                                    See you in the field!
                                   Christopher O'Bryan
                                     Shady Valley, TN
