A brief drive through Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery in Clinton, Tn - along the Clinch River (Anderson County) yesterday July 22: 1 SOLITARY SANDPIPER 1 SPOTTED SANDPIPER 2 LEAST SANDPIPER 4,000 KILLDEER 13 PECTORAL SANDPIPER. One very large , plump looking Pectoral had me thinking Reeve for a few minutes until I was able to study the field marks more closely with the scope and deemed it a Pectoral. A few of the ponds had the water drained for pretty good conditions, though they will dry up quickly before more migrants can utilize them. 2 Black Ducks were also present, along with several Mallard/Black Duck looking probable hybrids.
