Hi All, Jan Shaw, Phillip Casteel and I journeyed to west Tn. this morning with hopes of seeing the Reeve (aka Ruff) at the pits and the Anhinga at Eagle Lake. We met Jeff Wilson at the pits and, as usual, he put us right on the bird. We had great looks up close and all three of us got this beauty on video. Thank you, Jeff. There are plenty of other birds to marvel at here. My personal favorite would be Black-necked Stilt. These lovely birds and their fuzz ball chicks were everywhere. The Eagle Lake part of our trip did not produce our target bird, but we did see three Mississippi Kites and four species of waders. A memorable trip.
