February 26, 2005 Wal-Mart Distribution Center (WMDC) and elsewhere, western Greene County I observed the following this afternoon during a short trip to the western portion of Greene County: Ross's Goose (2 white-phase birds, Green Road); American Black Duck (WMDC); Gadwall (33, WMDC); Ring-necked Duck (4, Gravel Woods Road); Eurasian Collared-Dove (3, adjacent to West Greene High School); Red-headed Woodpecker (Green Road); Tree Swallow (55+, Fish Hatchery Road (Highway 340) between Highway 348 and Turner Lane); Common Yellowthroat (WMDC, third pond).
