This morning 2 male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks visited my sunflower seed feeder
repeatedly. Also at feeders were:
American Goldfinch
Red-winged Blackbird
Tufted Titmouse
Downy Woodpecker
Hairy Woodpecker
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Mockingbird
Pine Siskin
White-throated sparrow
House Finch
Carolina Wren
American Robin
Northern Cardinal
Brown-headed Cowbird
Blue Jay
A flock of Cedar Waxwings was feeding on the fruit of Oregon Grape plants
nearby.
The Red-shouldered hawk was seen on her nest earlier this morning, presumably
incubating eggs. Our neighborhood Cooper's hawks have been seen around their
nest several times this week, but the foliage around the nest had filled out to
the point that it is almost impossible to tell if either of the birds are
sitting on the next.
On Sunday afternoon, I spotted a single Anhinga on a roadside slough south of
Turrell, Arkansas.
