The count was held on Dec. 26, we had 12 participants in 5 groups who found a total of 89 species. This is at the low end or results for recent counts but given that we had less participants and two groups less than normal is pretty good. Highlights: A count high for Canvasback with 170 One Golden Eagle Our first Eurasian Collared-Dove A calling Northern Saw-whet Owl Lowlights: No American Black Ducks No Loggerhead Shrike No House Wren Both Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglet numbers are down European Starling numbers are up compared to the last five years No Orange-crowned Warbler Thanks to everyone who participated.
