Oct. 4, 2009 Mallard Lake Big Lake WMA Mississippi Co. AR A photographer found this immature Red Phalarope Saturday. I did not have directions to the exact location, other than Big Lake WMA but still decided to spend a rainy day searching. TLBA rides again, after 2-1/2 hours, I found this wonderful little toy at Mallard Lake feeding along some rip-rap. The bird stayed close and I've added some more ID point photos on my phalarope page.
