Saw a Red Headed Woodpecker briefly on my suet Saturday. Haven't seen it return
yet. Only the second time I have see one in my yard here in 4 years. Are they
always so reclusive? I have at least 3 pairs of Red Bellied Woodpeckers that
come to the same suet and fly off with their beaks stuffed with suet to feed
their young I assume. The Red Headeds seem much more private. Or maybe they
don't like suet so well.
