Today all the "incidentals" turned up on the same day, plus a couple of (perhaps) non-feeder birds. We had the Brown Creeper, the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, the new House Sparrow, the Chipping, Song and Field Sparrows (not always all three) on top of the usual 24-29 species. In addition we have two female Turkey and an Eastern Meadowlark, not yet sure if these are accepted, although the Turkey are feeding on the corn. So, 35 species up to 4:30 PM on the second count day, although the numbers of Goldfinch and the various blackbirds are scarce. Now if only a cowbird shows up at dusk!
