Sunday morning in the backyard (west Knox Co, 5 Sept) was much less active than
Sat. In fact I only had a single warbler, an Am Redstart. Did have 2 Baltimore
Orioles and 2 Yellow-billed Cuckoos though.
On Saturday, I chose the Vols over birding so Amber and I ran up to Rankin
Bottoms (Cocke Co) on Sunday evening. Similar list as yesterday but a few
changes. There was a group of goose hunters staked out across from the road.
They didn't have any geese but had a flock of Buff-breasted SPs and Am
Golden-Plovers walking among their decoys.
