Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Davidson Co.
Nashville, TN
Tuesday 2009 April 14
7:15-9:00am
clear to cloudy

Starting at the west parking lot I walked around Radnor Lake today.
Highlights included a singing PINE WARBLER and a YELLOW-THROATED
WARBLER at Grassy Point, just before the deck. The only other
two warblers encountered were 3 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH and plenty
of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERs. BLUE-WINGED TEAL numbers had increased
to 4, and a lone BUFFLEHEAD was with them. A single PIED-BILLED
GREBE rounded out the migrating waterfowl. I did NOT see the
OSPREY today. Also missing was the RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD
that I saw yesterday. However, I did find my first EASTERN
KINGBIRD of the year. RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETs are still
coming through in good numbers.
