I spent a few hours this morning at Radnor Lake and managed to come up with
10 species of warblers plus an early Golden-crowned Kinglet. Today was a
good reminder that even in fall it's good to know your vocalizations. Both
the Northern Waterthrush and the Hooded Warbler were first detected by their
distinctive chip notes, although I eventually had good looks at both.
