Just got a note from Shawn Reed saying he found a 1st winter LITTLE GULL
today on the east sewage treatment pond in front of Draper Prison in Speigner
(Elmore County). The bird was with about 100 Bonies feeding most of the
time near
an aerator discharge.

Also, late this afternoon, Craig Brown found a dark-morph juvenile POMARINE
JAEGER at the south end of Limestone Bay on Wheeler NWR. This guy hung
around
until dark and was last seen flying north up the bay towards Mooresville. I
was able to leave work in time to snap a couple very poor pictures. Will
upload best one to pbase website: http://www.pbase.com/swmavocet/alabama

Hopefully it will hang around for the Wheeler CBC tomorrow! The faithful
RED-NECKED GREBE continued today as well.

All the best to CBC'ers everywhere!
