I decided to walk my migration monitoring route at the Cravens House
(Hamilton co, TN) yesterday late afternoon (10/22) with low expectations as
the sun goes behind Lookout Mountain early during this part of October. I
was pleasantly surprised at the activity level and the interesting mix of
migrating passerines. The period was from 1710 - 1830. Here is a summary:

1 Sedge Wren (first ever for the Cravens House)

2 House Wren

2 Field Sparrow (only been seen on one other occasion)

5 Swamp Sparrow (uncommon migrant on Lookout)

30 White-throated Sparrow

2 Orange-crowned Warbler

4 Tennessee Warbler

3 Magnolia Warbler

2 Yellow-rumped

2 Common Yellowthroat

1 Black-throated Green

2 Blue-headed Vireo

1 White-eyed Vireo

2 Wood Thrush

1 Swainson's Thrush

1 Hermit Thrush (my first for the season)

15 Indigo Bunting

2 Ruby-crowned Kinglet

3 Golden-crowned Kinglet
