All, If interested, I have a gallery of photos from a work trip to the Shanghai area over the full month of December. I was able to bird some around our plant in Hangzhou, and a couple of dedicated days of birding at Yancheng a few hours north of Shanghai at the very end of the trip. Species diversity wasnâ??t very high, just over 100 species for the entire trip. But, the quality of birds more than made up for it. I had 5 species of Cranes the last day I birded, as well as some other very tough birds like Japanese Waxwing, Ochre-rumped (Japanese Reed) Bunting, Japanese Grosbeak, Oriental Stork, and Reed Parrotbill. Several species of buntings and thrushes were common, as were Bluetails, Redstarts, etc. Rarest bird of the trip ironically, was a Snow Goose which is a major rarity to China. My photos are all in chronological order, with many species represented multiple times. The gallery is here: http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/china_2010 Be sure the images are at the â??originalâ?? file size below the image, or the file compression on Pbase could take a serious toll on the images (which need all the help they can get anyway! :â??) Hope you enjoy, and I apologize to anyone who doesnâ??t care to receive these types of emails. Good Birding!!
