[TN-Bird] Re: Observers seeing Sooty Tern 9/8 to 9/11

All,

I fear in my haste to check in and try to look for the tern before
dark, I may have incurred the wrath of my wonderful wife. Let the
world know that Tracey Muise was there with me when we saw the tern
at dusk on Friday!

Our 3.5 month-old Allan kind of gurgled as he glanced at the lake
one time when the Tern flew by. Being proud parents, we took that
to mean that he, too saw the tern. :-)

Thanks to the several folks (Tom McNeil, Rack, Carole and Sam Cross,
Don Miller, among them - wish I remembered all of those who were
there) who helped us get on this great bird. Also to Rick and
Wallace and the others who reported it and kept us abreast.

For those of you who missed the Roan Mountain Naturalist Rally -
don't forgive yourself. It's a great time. I hope to see you next
year.

Charlie
