1-13-11 Gibson Co (Mary Queen Rd) I went by Mark's Spotted Towhee location yesterday morning after getting off of work. I spent about two hours in the area, and saw a lot of birds feeding and working along the road. Eastern Towhees were numerous, but I never saw the Spotted. At one time I do think I heard the raspy call note of a Spotted, but never saw the bird. I have no doubt the bird is still in the area. I'm on a bad luck streak it seems chasing birds I need for TN of late; I'm 0 for 4 recently after missing both the Inca Dove and Ferruginous Hawk at Reelfoot, and the Swallow-tailed Kite last summer in east TN. Anybody got a rabbits foot I can borrow..... :') Good Birding!!!
