Yesterday brought new yard birds: Rose Breasted Grosbeaks, a Scarlet Tanager and a Palm Warbler. Both the t anager and the w arbler were visitors to the bird creek. The tanager seemed not to have a care in the world as he was splashing around. After one bath, he would preen and come back for more...making a bigger scene than he had previously. He did this at least three times after I had noticed him. The warbler came in for a bath as well and left after a good dipping....too many birds by that time to stay too long. Not to be out "oooooo'd" by the Scarlet Tanager , the resident Summer Tanager showed up later - flitting around and doing his tuk calls . Kristy Baker Rockvale, TN Rutherford County
