[TN-Bird] Nashville Great Horned Owl

I had a single Great Horned Owl calling from the hills behind my
apartment last night around 6:00pm.  This is the first I have heard
calling there since November 2003, when a pair called for several weeks
from a nearby hill.  That particular hill has been mostly cleared for a
new development, and we worried that the owls would not be back.  
 

Is it too late in the season for Great Horneds to start a nest this
year?
