Radnor Lake State Natural Area Nashville-Davidson Co. TN 12 May 2010 The NTOS Wednesday morning walk group made it as far as the Long Bridge from the West Parking Lot. And for those who got that far, the walk was worth it as we got great looks at a singing MOURNING WARBLER at Long Bridge. Other cooperative warbler species this morning were several AMERICAN REDSTARTS, two CANADA WARBLERS, and a YELLOW WARBLER, which was flitting about below the spillway. MAGNOLIA WARBLERS were the most numerous species. We totaled 16 warbler species this morning. We also got good looks at both a male and female SCARLET TANAGER-at opposite ends of our walk, so I don't think they're a pair. We have one remaining walk next Wednesday at 7:30am.
