NTOS will sponsor a Field Trip on Saturday 15 May 2010 to Bell's Bend Park in western Nashville-Davidson Co. We will meet at the Adventure Science Museum at 7:00am and carpool to the Outdoor Center at Bell's Bend Park. Those wishing to meet us directly at the park's Outdoor Center should plan on meeting us there @7:30am. We will bird open fields and tree-line edges in search of such species as Blue Grosbeaks, Dickcissels, Prairie Warblers, Yellow-breasted Chats, Orchard Orioles and hopefully sparrows like Henslow's as well as Savannah and perhaps Lincoln's. A Willow Flycatcher has also been reported to be present. This trip will last just the morning, but bring water and snacks and, if you wish, a lunch to eat at the Outdoor Center afterwards. Additionally, bringing insect repellent is recommended.
