I was working this morning in Moore County and a little time for some birding.
Flocks were dominated by Yellow-rumped Warblers but I did find a few Magnolias
and one Black-throated Green. One stop near Lynchburg made me think I was
birding a month ago. I had a Pewee, a Magnolia, several Rose-breasted
Grosbeaks, a Scarlet Tanager and a first year male Baltimore Oriole. Then
several Yellow-rumped Warblers and a couple of Ruby-crowned Kinglets showed up.
Near TVA lands at Edde Bend, I found lots of sparrows, including a
White-crowned. This is the second time I've found this species in that area,
so maybe this is the spot in Moore County.
