[TN-Bird] Mississippi River / TVA Lake - Shelby Co, TN

An early morning stop on the river didn't produce variety but a single  flock 
of 82 Buffleheads floating down Ol' Man River, was probably a high number,  
single flock of this species for me. At TVA Lake, a large number of  Coots were 
diving for plants, which made for a lot of splashing and 8  Pied-billed 
Grebes were tallied.
 
The numbers of Lesser and Greater Scaup were is a constant state of flux as  
they flew in and out from feeding on McKellar Lake. In the mix were: Canada  
Geese, Wood Duck, Gadwall, 2 Wigeon females, Mallards, Northern Shovelers, 11  
Green-winged Teal, 11 Canvasback, 21 Redheads, 100+ Ring-necked Ducks, 4 
Hooded  and 3 Ruddy...........14 species of waterfowl.
 
I did not have time to spend scanning at Robco Lake but it is covered  in 
ducks, coots and DC Cormorants plus a single Great Egret...................
