The dog got me up at 5AM this morning (10 Sept). While I had her out, there was a decent flight of migrants passing overhead along the ridge. I stayed out about 20 minutes and heard... 2 Bobolink ~30 unIDable warbler and sparrow calls ~20 thrushes, mostly Swainson's but at least a couple Wood as well. I had ~10 Swainson's calling from our woods Friday morning. Suspect they were disappointed to find the squirrels have eaten most of the Black Gum fruit before it got ripe this year. Hickory nut and acorn crops are about nonexistent here this year. Later, in the fog around 7AM, I had a decent wave pass through the woods with...
