For any of you able to travel, our 4 week odysee into the west was a great experience. One unexpected treasure was Great Salt Plain State Park and National Wildlife refuge. A very interesting place, near the very nearly extinct town of Jet, NW of Enid. Lots to do and see and terrific birding, even better during migration. We would rate it as equal to Quivera. Best sighting was a road runner with a lizard, trying to seduce a female. Watched it in the open for 40 minutes. Many snowy plover chicks and much more. Good birding.
