While setting on the porch today between the rains I observed the following notables. I had several PALM WARBLERS (western) fluttering about on the ground and searching for insects in my dwarf crape myrtles. Then 3 different times I had N. PARULAS within 10 feet of me as they were doing the same thing on my whiskey barrel planters. I picked of my FOS E. WOOD-PEWEE. Caught a quick look at a male CANADA WARBLER and heard a CONNECTICUT WARBLER, both new yard birds. Throw in 3 male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS and getting buzzed by a ruby throat and I'd call it a good day! Stanley York Jr Palmyra / Montgomery Co.
